"Adjusting your tax return is common and the CRA has a few options to make it simple for you." says Lucas Ghosn, former CRA Rulings Officer
It can happen. You've just filed your taxes ahead of schedule and are living your best life knowing you beat the deadline. The next day, you get a second T4 in the mail from a one-time side job that you completely forgot about. Or you found a receipt for your kids daycare that you thought was lost. What should you do?
Not only can you adjust your taxes to claim extra deductions, but you also have to adjust your taxes if you forgot to claim extra income. If you fail to report all of your income, the CRA may come after you with penalties and interest charges.
